Where Have I Been?

Hey hey Heyyy!

It's been a while, hasn't it? I know many of you have been wondering where I've been and why I suddenly vanished from YouTube after such an enthusiastic start. Well, grab a cup of tea, get cozy, and let me share my story with you.

First off, when I started this channel in 2024, I was bursting with excitement. After all, I'd been dreaming about creating a hair YouTube channel for a decade! I had so many fun ideas and couldn't wait to dive in. But then... something happened to my hair.

Two Words: Alopecia Areata

That's right. The reason for my sudden disappearance can be summed up in those two words: Alopecia Areata. For those who don't know, it's a condition that causes radial hair loss, where your hair falls out in patches. And unfortunately, this isn't my first rodeo with it.

Here's the kicker - my Alopecia Areata is hormone-induced. Every time I get pregnant or even suspect I might be, my hair starts falling out. It's been a cycle:

First pregnancy? Hair loss.

Second pregnancy with my son? Yep, hair loss again.

That time I was 14 days late and thought I might be pregnant? You guessed it - hair loss.

It's been... challenging, to say the least. As an older mom who wants to grow her family, it's disheartening to watch my hair go from full and vibrant to patchy and thin with each hormonal change.

The Journey Back

During my time away from YouTube, I didn't just sit around feeling sorry for myself (okay, maybe a little). I took action. I visited doctors, had bloodwork done, and tried various treatments. My dermatologist even recommended a specially formulated hair product that's been working pretty well for me. (I'll link it below for those interested!)

Why I'm Back

So, why am I back on YouTube now, you ask? Well, I realized something important. Instead of hiding away and feeling bad about my hair loss, I decided to face it head-on. I'm here to talk about it, to share my journey, and hopefully, to encourage others who might be going through similar challenges.

This year, I'm embracing my journey with Alopecia. It's not forever - I'm just passing through this phase. And instead of running from it, I'm choosing to share it with all of you.

Moving Forward

I want this channel to be a place of encouragement, positivity, and real talk about hair - all kinds of hair, in all its stages. Whether you're dealing with hair loss, trying out new styles, or just looking for some hair inspiration, I'm here for you.
